Welcome to Help & troubleshooting Pi will not boot? SBC dropping off the network? GPIO doing nothing at all? Ask here. Someone has probably hit the same wall before. What belongs here • Boot failures, blank screens, blinking LEDs and kernel panics • Networking, SSH, Wi-Fi and headless setup problems • GPIO, HATs, displays and camera modules • Software installs, updates gone wrong and storage problems What goes elsewhere • Finished projects: Projects & builds • Chat and buying advice: General discussion • Microcontrollers such as the Pico: ESP32 & microcontrollers How to ask so people can help 1. Board: the exact model and RAM, or for other SBCs the maker, model and revision 2. Operating system and version, and how you flashed it 3. Power supply: what it is and what it is rated for 4. Storage: SD card or SSD, brand and size 5. Anything connected: HATs, displays, USB devices, and a wiring diagram for GPIO 6. The commands or code you ran, pasted as text and kept to a minimal example 7. The result you expected versus what actually happens, with full error messages or log output 8. What you have already tried Quick checks first • Undervoltage is behind a huge number of strange problems. Try a known-good supply rated for your board. • Reflash the card, or try a different one. Cards fail more often than boards. • Watch the power and activity LEDs; their blink patterns often point to the fault. • Check GPIO wiring against a pinout, and remember the pins are 3.3 V only and need a shared ground. • For headless setups, confirm SSH and Wi-Fi were configured before first boot. Before you paste logs Remove passwords, Wi-Fi keys, API tokens and public IP addresses. When it is fixed Post the fix so the next person benefits. Board rules • No malware, nothing piracy-friendly, and no selling or paid services. • Safety warnings on batteries and mains are part of the rules. Leave mains wiring to qualified people. The house rules apply: be kind, English only (other languages are translated automatically), no spam, no keyboard mashing and no self-promotion spam. Use Report if you spot a problem.
