Who this notice covers

KZE operates kze.info. This notice covers our website, accounts, member download checks, device account links and website feedback. Third-party services and the apps themselves may have separate data practices. Contact KZE through our contact page for privacy questions or requests.

Accounts, downloads and app links

We store your email, username, password hash, email verification status, account dates and session records to provide and secure your account. We do not store your password in plain text. Account emails contain verification or password-reset links.

Download records contain the release, time and account identifier when signed in. Linked apps record their app, device model, chosen name, creation, expiry, revocation and last-use times. The server stores hashes of device credentials. A linked app can receive your username and current member access, but not your website password or email.

We use account and download data to provide the service and membership benefits. We use security records, rate limits and audit logs to protect the service and investigate abuse.

Patreon connections

Connecting Patreon authorizes us to read your Patreon identity and memberships. We store your Patreon account ID, encrypted OAuth tokens, tier identifiers and membership/payment status so we can verify access to KZE releases. We do not receive your full payment card details. Patreon manages your subscription and processes its own data under its privacy policy.

Public reviews and compatibility reports

Your username, review, rating, app version, edition, build, device model and any firmware details you submit are public. We also show whether a KZE download request was recorded. Your email and internal account ID are not included in the public review. Do not include passwords, tokens or personal contact details. Administrators can moderate reports.

Cookies and optional analytics

Essential cookies support sign-in, security, Patreon connection state and your cookie preference. Sign-in sessions expire after seven days; Patreon connection state lasts up to ten minutes; your cookie preference is remembered for 180 days. Other short-lived security cookies may be set by our authentication service or Cloudflare.

Optional KZE analytics starts only after you accept analytics. A browser identifier cookie, kze.visit, associates visits within a day. We count page visits and active visitors, along with page paths, broad traffic sources and device/browser categories. Signed-in visits may be associated with your account so administrators can see account activity. Query strings and private token values are excluded from recorded page paths.

Raw visitor activity is retained for up to 30 days. Daily and minute totals without visitor identifiers may be retained longer. IP addresses are processed for delivery and abuse prevention; rate-limit identifiers are hashed. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable optional KZE analytics. You can change your choice here or in the footer.

Email updates

News about new apps, releases and development is optional and separate from cookie consent. Registration defaults to opted out. We record your preference and consent history, and you can opt out in your account email preferences. Verification, reset and other necessary account messages are separate from promotional updates.

Providers and advertising

Hetzner hosts the service. Cloudflare provides website delivery and protection. Resend delivers account emails. Patreon provides membership verification. These providers process data needed to perform those functions; third-party links are handled by the destination service when you open them.

KZE loads Google AdSense on selected public pages, currently Home and the PSP Tube guide. Accepting KZE analytics does not authorize personalized advertising. Google's separate consent message manages advertising choices where applicable. Use Ad privacy settings in the footer to manage or withdraw your advertising consent. Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or other identifiers to deliver and measure ads, and third parties may place or read cookies as part of ad serving.

Retention and your choices

Account, membership and app-link records are kept while needed to operate and secure your account. Consent history, download records, audit logs and backups may need to remain for security, disputes or applicable obligations. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of your data, or to object to or restrict processing where applicable. We will verify ownership and review the request, including records that need to be retained.

We use consent for optional analytics and update emails, service-related processing for account features, and legitimate interests for security and abuse prevention. If you are in the UK, you can also raise a data-protection concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office. We do not ask for precise location or sensitive personal details in app reviews.
