Good posting habits
• Mention the region and model when it matters. A Japanese Mega Drive and a North American Genesis are not always interchangeable.
• Use a clear title so others can find your thread later
• Search before posting news in case someone has already shared it
A few things worth knowing
• Many games were released differently in each region, sometimes with different difficulty, music or content. It makes for great discussion.
• PAL consoles often run at 50Hz, which can make games run slower than their 60Hz counterparts. Many PAL owners mod their consoles to switch.
• If you are buying second-hand, ask for photos of the console running and check around the clock battery on a Saturn or Dreamcast, and around old capacitors, for signs of leakage.
The rules
We love Sega homebrew, but there is no piracy here. Do not link, share or request ROMs, disc images, BIOS files or firmware, and do not ask where to find them. Dump your own games and BIOS. No selling, trading or paid services, and no malware.
