Welcome to Indie & homebrew games. This board celebrates two things: brand-new games made for old systems, and indie games on modern platforms that deserve more players. New Game Boy games built with tools like GB Studio, fresh NES, Mega Drive and SNES releases from small developers, PSP and Dreamcast homebrew games, and that tiny indie gem you found on a storefront all belong here. What belongs here • New homebrew games for retro consoles and handhelds. • Indie games on PC, consoles and mobile worth playing. • Physical releases from small publishers, and crowdfunded projects you are excited about. • Game jams and development diaries. • Your own games, shared in a single thread you keep updated. What goes elsewhere • Patches that modify existing commercial games: ROM hacks & fan games. • Browser-only games: Browser & web games. • Sales and free giveaways: Free games & deals. • KZE's own apps (PSP Tube, the PS5-style launcher theme and the PS Vita projects) have their own forums under KZE apps & projects. Rules for this board • Only share homebrew the developer has released freely, and point people to the developer's official page by name. • No ROMs or ISOs of commercial games, no ROM collections bundled with homebrew, and no BIOS files. • If you made the game, you are welcome to post it, but keep it to one thread and update it rather than posting again. No repeated advertising. • No selling, paid commissions or crowdfunding spam. • Keep games and screenshots suitable for all ages. Playing homebrew safely Homebrew is usually run on flash carts, through emulators or on modded consoles. Always read the developer's instructions, back up your device and saves first, and only download from the official source. Re-uploads can be outdated or tampered with. Tips for developers Show screenshots or a short description of the gameplay, say which system it runs on (and whether it works on real hardware or only in emulators), and be open to feedback. Kind, constructive replies only, please. The house rules The general rules apply: be kind, English only (other languages are translated automatically), no spam, no keyboard mashing and no self-promotion spam. Use Report on anything that breaks the rules. This thread is locked, so start your own thread to share a find or your project. Dexter
