Welcome to General discussion in the Android forum.
This is the relaxed corner of the Android section. Talk about the phone or tablet you use every day, Android news, new releases from Google, Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Motorola, Nothing and the rest, which device to buy next, your favourite apps, or how you have set up your home screen and workflow.
What belongs here
• Android news and update discussion.
• Buying advice: tell us your budget range, country and what matters to you (camera, battery, updates, size, root support).
• Show and tell: your daily driver, your collection, your tablet setup.
• App recommendations and general questions that are not a specific fault.
What goes elsewhere
• Something broken, crashing or not working: Help & troubleshooting.
• Bootloaders, flashing, Magisk, KernelSU and ROMs: Custom ROMs & root.
• Home screen setups, icon packs and themes in detail: Launchers & customisation.
• TV boxes, Shield, Fire TV and Google TV: Android TV & streaming boxes.
Good habits
• Give your thread a clear title, such as 'Best small phone with long update support?' rather than 'Phone?'.
• When you mention a device, include the exact model if you know it.
• Opinions on brands are welcome, flame wars are not. Everyone has a favourite, and that is fine.
• Update support periods and prices change often, so check the manufacturer's current information rather than relying on an old thread.
Legal and safety
No piracy of any kind: no modded paid apps, no APK download sites for paid apps, and no asking where to find them. No help getting into a device that is not yours, and no selling or trading.
House rules
The general KZE rules apply: be kind, English only (other languages are translated automatically), no spam, no keyboard mashing and no self-promotion spam. Please use Report if you spot anything that breaks the rules.
