Welcome to the PSP forum. The PSP is where KZE started, and it is still one of the most rewarding handhelds to tinker with. Whether you have a PSP-1000 from a loft, a Go you picked up cheap or a Street you are trying to bring back to life, this is your home. What this forum covers Everything PSP: custom firmware, homebrew, plugins, themes, hardware mods, repairs and plain old nostalgia. Every model is welcome, from the original 1000 through the 2000, 3000, Go (N1000) and Street (E1000). Where to post what Threads go into the subforums, so please pick the one that fits best: • General discussion: games, memories, your setup, collection photos and anything PSP that does not fit elsewhere. • Custom firmware: installing, updating and fixing ARK-4, PRO, 6.61 Infinity and similar. • Homebrew & plugins: apps, games, emulators, plugins and themes made by the community, plus your own releases. • Hardware mods & repairs: screens, batteries, shells, UMD drives, memory card adapters, buttons and soldering. • Help & troubleshooting: when something is broken or you are stuck and want a hand. If you are not sure, Help & troubleshooting is never the wrong place for a question, and a moderator can move a thread if needed. PSP Tube and other KZE apps Questions, bug reports and ideas for PSP Tube, our YouTube app for the PSP, go in the PSP Tube forums under KZE apps & projects, not here. The same goes for our other projects. That keeps feedback in one place where the developers will see it. The models at a glance • PSP-1000: the original. Heavier, with a lovely build but less RAM than later models. • PSP-2000: slimmer and lighter, more RAM, video out. • PSP-3000: brighter screen and a built-in microphone. Some people notice interlacing lines on its screen. • PSP Go: sliding design, no UMD drive, internal storage and a Memory Stick Micro slot. • PSP Street: budget model with no Wi-Fi and a mono speaker, sold mainly in Europe. Other PlayStation forums Vita owners have their own home in PS Vita & PS TV, and classic consoles live in PS1 & PS2. The rest of the PlayStation family has PS5, PS4, PS3 and PlayStation Portal & Remote Play. The rules that matter most here KZE is homebrew-friendly but never piracy-friendly. No links to or requests for ISOs, CSOs, ROMs, firmware files from unofficial sources, cracked apps or where to find any of them. Dump your own UMDs and keep your own backups. Only discuss hacking your own hardware, and never share malware or anything designed to harm someone else's device. No selling or paid services in these boards. A few safety basics • Back up your memory card before installing anything. • Keep the battery charged above half when updating or installing firmware, and leave the charger plugged in. • Old PSP batteries can swell. If yours is puffy, stop using it and recycle it properly. House rules The usual KZE house rules apply everywhere: be kind, post in English (other languages are translated automatically), no spam, no keyboard mashing and no self-promotion spam. If something breaks the rules, please use Report rather than arguing in the thread. This thread is locked, so start your own in the right subforum for questions. Have fun, and welcome aboard. Dexter
