Buying a used Vita
• Check the firmware version under Settings, then System, then System Information, before you buy if you plan to hack it. Ask in Hacking & firmware if you are unsure what it means.
• Look for screen scratches, dead pixels and, on the OLED model, any discolouration.
• Test both analogue sticks, the rear touch pad and the game card slot.
• Ask whether it comes with a memory card. Official Vita memory cards are proprietary and can be hard to find.
Keep it friendly
Everyone has a favourite model and a favourite way to play. Share opinions, not insults.
No piracy
Talking about games is great; asking where to download them is not. No links to or requests for commercial game files, licence files, ROMs, ISOs or where to find them. Dump your own games.
