How to ask a good question
1. Say your edition (Java or Bedrock), game version and platform.
2. List any mods, the mod loader and its version, or say it is vanilla.
3. Describe what happened, what you expected and what you have already tried.
4. For Java crashes, share the relevant part of your crash report or log. Look in the crash-reports and logs folders in your Minecraft directory; latest.log is usually the one you want.
Common fixes worth trying first
• Update your graphics drivers and restart your device.
• Try without mods, shaders or resource packs to see if the problem goes away.
• Make sure every mod matches your game version and mod loader.
• On Java, do not give the game far more memory than it needs; too much can cause stutters too.
• Check that your world backup exists before trying anything risky.
Before you share a log
Logs can include your username, your computer's user folder name and sometimes server addresses. Skim it and remove anything personal first. Never post your password, account email or any login codes.
