Hey guys! Some important news for PS3 owners.
THE PS3 AND VITA STORES ARE CLOSING
Sony announced in July that the PS3 store is closing country by country. Mexico, Honduras and Nicaragua lost it in August, other Latin American and Middle Eastern countries lose it later this year, and everywhere else loses the PS3 and Vita stores in July 2027. Past purchases should stay downloadable "for the foreseeable future", but there's no guarantee.
WHAT THIS MEANS
If you've got digital PS3 games you care about, now's a good time to make sure they're downloaded and backed up, and to keep your licences safe. Lots of people are finally installing CFW or HEN for exactly this reason.
HOMEBREW
Evilnat 4.93 Cobra is still the latest CFW, and multiMAN is still on 4.91. webMAN MOD keeps getting updates.
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
• Has the store closing pushed you to finally mod your PS3?
• What's the first homebrew app you'd install on a fresh CFW console?
• Which digital-only PS3 game would you hate to lose?
