How to write a good guide
1. Name the device and topic in the title, for example Thor: dual-screen DS setup.
2. List your model, firmware version, and exact frontend and emulator versions.
3. Write the steps in order, one action per line.
4. Explain what key settings do, so people can adapt them.
5. Say what's per-game and what's global.
6. Update the guide, or reply with a note, when something changes.
Useful basics
• Get one system working well before setting everything up at once.
• Higher performance modes and resolution scaling cost battery and heat. Use them per game rather than everywhere.
• Emulators that need BIOS or firmware files expect you to dump them from your own hardware. We'll explain how, but we won't share them.
• Keep a tidy folder structure for games, BIOS files and saves, and back it up.
• In-game saves are safer than save states when you update an emulator.
• Before trying an alternative OS, back up everything and read the project's own instructions and compatibility list.
Legal and safety
No ROMs, ISOs, BIOS files, firmware dumps, keys, cracked or modified APKs, or where to find them. Guides should assume people use their own dumps. No malware, and no selling or paid services.
