Welcome to Sideloading & apps. This subforum is for getting apps onto iPhones and iPads beyond the usual App Store route, and for sharing great apps in general. AltStore, SideStore, building apps from source with Xcode, TestFlight betas, alternative app marketplaces in regions where Apple allows them, and plain old app recommendations all belong here. What belongs here • Setting up and troubleshooting AltStore, SideStore and similar tools. • Open-source apps you can build or sideload, such as emulators and homebrew projects. • Alternative app marketplaces where they are available. • App recommendations and reviews. What goes elsewhere • Tweaks that need a jailbreak: Jailbreaking. • Old App Store apps on legacy devices: Old iPads & iPhones. • Apps crashing or other faults: Help & troubleshooting. Starter knowledge • Sideloading means installing an app that did not come from the App Store. On iOS this normally means signing the app with an Apple developer certificate. • With a free Apple Account, sideloaded apps expire after seven days and must be refreshed, and only a small number can be active at once. A paid developer account extends this. • Tools like AltStore and SideStore can refresh apps for you, but they need a little setup. • Rules for alternative marketplaces depend on your country and Apple's current policies, so check what applies to you. • Only sideload apps from the developer's own official source. An IPA from a random mirror can contain anything. Piracy rules (please read) • No cracked or 'unlocked' IPAs, no tweaked versions of paid apps and no IPA libraries. • No signing services that exist to distribute pirated apps, and no shared or sold enterprise certificates. • No asking where to find any of the above. Open-source apps, your own builds and apps the developer distributes for sideloading are all welcome. Be careful with your account Never give your Apple Account password to a website or stranger offering to sign apps for you. If a tool needs your Apple Account, consider using a separate one made for development. The general KZE rules apply: be kind, English only (other languages are translated automatically), no spam, no keyboard mashing and no self-promotion spam. Please Report anything that breaks the rules. This thread is locked, so start your own thread for questions or recommendations. Dexter
