Spotting bootlegs
Bootleg figures are very common, especially online. Warning signs include prices far below normal, sloppy paint, rough seams, flimsy or misprinted boxes and missing official licensing marks. Many manufacturers add authenticity stickers or holograms to their boxes, so learn what they look like for the brands you collect. For amiibo, compare the base, paint and packaging against a known genuine figure.
Display and care
• Keep figures and boxes out of direct sunlight to avoid fading and yellowing.
• Glass cabinets keep dust off; a soft brush is good for cleaning.
• Heat can warp PVC figures over time, so avoid radiators and hot rooms.
• Keep boxes if you can; many collectors value them.
Rules for this board
• No bootlegs promoted or sold as genuine.
• Keep everything suitable for all ages. No adult or suggestive figures.
• No referral or affiliate links.
• Never post photos showing your address or full order details.
