Welcome to Switch 2 News & rumours. This board is for everything new: Nintendo Directs, system updates, game announcements, hardware revisions, Nintendo Switch Online additions, sales figures, and the leaks and rumours that inevitably fly around before an announcement. What belongs here • Official news: Directs, Nintendo press releases, publisher announcements and system update notes. • Live threads for Directs and big showcases. One thread per event, please; check whether one already exists. • Industry news that directly affects Switch 2, such as a studio confirming a port. • Rumours and leaks, clearly labelled as such. What doesn't belong here • Your thoughts on a game you're already playing go in Games & reviews. • General chat, setups and accessories go in General discussion. • If an update has broken something on your console, post in Help & troubleshooting with the details. How to post news 1. Put the key fact in the title, plainly. "System update adds X" is better than "Huge news". 2. Say where it came from: Nintendo, the publisher, or the outlet that reported it. Name the source in your post. We don't allow links, so describe it clearly enough that others can find it. 3. Summarise in your own words. Don't paste whole articles; a short summary plus your thoughts is ideal. 4. If it's a rumour or a leak, start the title with "Rumour:" and say how reliable you think the source is. 5. Update your first post if the story changes, rather than starting a duplicate thread. Rules for rumours and leaks • Rumours must be marked as rumours. Don't present speculation as fact. • No leaked files, ROMs, firmware, datamined builds or anything obtained by breaking into systems. Discussing that a leak happened is fine; sharing or requesting the material is not. • No posting personal details about developers or anyone else. • If a rumour turns out to be false, it's fine to say so. No pile-ons. Spoilers Story reveals from trailers and leaks can ruin a game for people. Keep spoilers out of titles and warn readers at the top of your post. A reminder on homebrew and exploits News about Switch 2 security or hacking is a sensitive area. Factual discussion of public announcements is fine, but we don't host or link exploits, tools or keys, and we never discuss running copied games. Modifying your console risks bans. House rules Everything else in the KZE rules applies: be kind, English only (other languages are translated automatically), no spam, no keyboard mashing and no self-promotion spam. Please Report anything that breaks the rules. This thread is locked; start a new thread when there's news to share. Dexter
