Hey guys! A modding question that's become very relevant.
THE PRICE PROBLEM
Valve raised the Steam Deck OLED to $789 (512GB) and $949 (1TB) earlier this year because of memory costs. In the UK it's £779.
THE MODDING OPTION
That makes upgrading an LCD Deck much more tempting:
• DeckHD: a 1200p screen upgrade, around $99, supported in Gamescope
• DeckSight OLED: an OLED screen for the LCD Deck, around $130–140
• Bigger SSDs and new shells are still popular too
