Welcome to Switch 2 Help & troubleshooting. If your console, controllers, dock, storage or a game isn't behaving, ask here and the community will do its best to help you sort it out. What belongs here • Console problems: won't turn on, won't charge, overheating, screen or speaker issues. • Joy-Con 2 and controller problems: connection, drift, pairing, the mouse function. • Dock and TV output problems: no picture, wrong resolution, HDR or audio issues. • Storage problems: microSD Express cards not recognised, data management, full storage. • Game problems: crashes, downloads, Game-Key Cards, compatibility with original Switch games. • Account, system transfer and Nintendo Switch Online issues. What doesn't belong here • General chat and accessory recommendations go in General discussion. • "Is this game good?" goes in Games & reviews. • News about updates goes in News & rumours. If an update broke something, post here. How to ask so people can help Copy this into your post and fill it in: • Model: Switch 2 (and which accessories are involved, official or third party). • System version: found in System Settings. • What you're trying to do. • What happens instead, including any error code, exactly as shown. • When it started: after an update, a drop, a new dock, a new card? • What you've already tried. A clear title helps too. "Error code when downloading a Game-Key Card game" gets answers; "help please" doesn't. Things to try first 1. Fully restart the console by holding the power button and choosing the restart option, rather than just putting it to sleep. 2. Check for a system update and a game update. 3. For controllers, detach and reattach them, and check the controller firmware update option in System Settings. 4. For storage, confirm the card is genuinely microSD Express, not an ordinary microSD card. 5. For dock issues, try the official dock, cable and power supply before assuming the console is faulty. 6. Contact Nintendo Support if the console may be under warranty. Opening it yourself can affect that. Safety • If the console is swollen, unusually hot, smells of burning or the battery looks damaged, stop using it, unplug it and contact Nintendo. Don't try to open or charge it. • Use reputable chargers and cables. What we can't help with We won't help with getting around bans, unlocking or modifying the console, running copied games, or anything involving firmware files, keys or exploits. Online play on a modified console risks a ban, and we can't undo that for you. Once it's fixed Please reply with what worked and edit your title to start with "Solved". It helps the next person with the same problem. House rules Be kind and patient (everyone here is volunteering their time), English only (other languages are translated automatically), no spam, no keyboard mashing and no self-promotion spam. Report anything that breaks the rules. This thread is locked, so start your own thread with the template above. Dexter
