Hey guys! The Switch 2 homebrew scene has had a big couple of weeks. THE SWITCH 2 EXPLOIT Around 22 October, researcher pepsipu (Sammy Hajhamid) showed a software-only exploit on Switch 2 firmware 23.0.1. It works through SmileBASIC 4. It's tethered, so you have to run it again after every restart, and there's no kernel access or permanent custom firmware. The developer says AI coding tools helped build it. Shortly after, SmileBASIC 4 vanished from several eShops. Nobody's confirmed whether Nintendo or the publisher pulled it. ORIGINAL SWITCH • Atmosphère 1.12.1 supports firmware 23.0.1. • Hekate 6.5.4 is the current version. • Save managers Checkpoint and JKSV got updates in late October. As always: legal homebrew only, no piracy, keys or ROMs on KZE please :) WHAT DO YOU THINK? • How will Nintendo respond: a patch, removing more apps, or both? • Does a tethered exploit matter much for genuine homebrew? • What homebrew do you use most on your Switch?
