Hey guys! Teardown talk.
THE LCD CABLE
Hackaday opened UGreen's €15, 240W USB-C cable with a built-in display. Inside is a full Cortex-M0+ microcontroller, and someone hacked it to play video on the tiny screen. Even cables have computers in them now.
TEARDOWN SESSIONS
Teardown Session 49 is streaming live from Hackaday Supercon (6–8 November).
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
• Are "smart" cables useful, or e-waste waiting to happen?
• What's the cheapest gadget you've opened that had a surprisingly powerful chip inside?
• Which device should the community tear down next?
