Though, in no opposition to it, do y'all think that the introduction of modern games to retro gaming consoles, or rather "modernizing" retro handhelds, will somehow eliminate their meaning of "retro"? I'd love to hear your views on this.

I completely agree with JimTheRG, at the end of the day installing these custom homebrews and modernizing the PSP is a choice. If you'd rather stick to the original feel of the device you are able to do that! If you want to push it to its limit you are also free to do that, we underestimate how good these devices we're for their time and to see new life brought to it makes you really think wow. Good discussion!
