How to ask so people can help
Copy this into your post and fill it in:
1. Device: exact model (for example iPad Air 4th generation). Settings, General, About shows it.
2. iOS or iPadOS version, and whether the device is jailbroken.
3. What you were doing when the problem started.
4. What you have already tried.
5. The exact error message, word for word, or a screenshot.
6. Anything else relevant, such as recent updates, drops or water exposure.
Try the basics first
• Restart the device, and try a force restart if it is frozen (the button combination depends on the model).
• Make sure iOS and the app are up to date.
• Check free storage space; a full device causes all sorts of odd problems.
• Before restoring, make sure you have a recent backup in iCloud or on a computer. Restoring erases the device.
• Recovery mode and DFU mode are last resorts. Read up on the difference before using them.
Keep yourself safe
• Never post your serial number, IMEI, Apple Account email, passwords or recovery keys.
• Blur personal details in screenshots.
• Scam 'support' messages and pop-ups are common. Apple will not contact you through a forum.
Rules
We only help with your own devices. No Activation Lock, passcode, MDM or carrier lock bypasses for devices that are not yours, and moderators may ask how you got the device. No cracked apps and no paid repair services.
