Welcome to Free games & deals.
This board is for spotting a bargain: free weekly games, limited-time giveaways, free weekends, big seasonal sales, bundles and genuinely good discounts. Think free games on the Epic Games Store, GOG giveaways, Steam free weekends and sales, Humble bundles, and games included with services such as Prime Gaming or console subscriptions.
What belongs here
• Free-to-keep giveaways from official stores and publishers.
• Free weekends and free-to-play launches worth a look.
• Sales, bundles and price drops from legitimate stores.
• Discussion of whether a deal is worth it.
What goes elsewhere
• General chat about a game: PC gaming, Retro gaming talk or the relevant game board.
• Free browser games: Browser & web games.
• Freely released homebrew: Indie & homebrew games.
How to post a deal
1. Put the game or bundle, the store and the deal in the title, for example: Free on GOG, or 75 percent off on Steam.
2. Name the store. Do not include links.
3. Say when the deal ends, if you know.
4. Mention the platform and any region limits.
5. Search first to avoid duplicates.
Rules for this board
• Only legitimate stores and official giveaways. No grey-market key resellers or sites selling keys of dubious origin.
• No referral, affiliate or tracking links, and no codes that earn you a reward.
• No piracy, cracked games or free download sites pretending to be giveaways.
• No gambling, skin case sites or loot-box promotions.
• No selling or swapping keys between members.
Spotting a fake giveaway
If a giveaway asks for your account password, payment details for a free game, or wants you to install something unexpected, it is a scam. Real giveaways happen on the store itself, in your normal account. Prices and availability also vary by region, so check your own store page before getting excited.
The house rules
The general rules apply: be kind, English only (posts in other languages are translated automatically), no spam, no keyboard mashing and no self-promotion spam. If you spot a scam or anything else that breaks the rules, use Report. This thread is locked, so start your own thread when you find a deal.
