Hey guys! Smart home news. HOME ASSISTANT 2026.11 (BETA NOW, STABLE AROUND 4 NOVEMBER) • HACS is now built in as "Marketplace": no GitHub account needed, and no restart to install integrations. Existing HACS installs move over automatically. • Matter cameras with two-way audio, as a preview • LoRaWAN support • Automatic dashboard sections ESPHOME 2026.10.1 Compressed OTA updates and 20 new components. Heads up: Music Assistant now needs 2.10.7 or newer. MATTER Matter 1.6 is out. IKEA's new Matter devices are having connection trouble, and a fix is reportedly coming. WHAT DO YOU THINK? • Does building HACS in make community integrations safer, or riskier? • Would you trust Matter cameras, or stick with Frigate? • Show us your best automation!
