Welcome to PS3 Homebrew & mods. Once your PS3 is running CFW or HEN, this is where the fun starts: webMAN MOD, multiMAN, Artemis, save tools, themes, emulators, and hardware mods to keep the console healthy and quiet.
What belongs here
• webMAN MOD, multiMAN and other managers and tools.
• Artemis and cheat tools for offline single-player games.
• Save managers, backups and transfers.
• Themes, custom XMB tweaks and boot animations.
• Emulators and homebrew games.
• Hardware mods: thermal paste, fan control, drive upgrades and repairs.
• Your own homebrew releases and development questions.
What goes elsewhere
• Installing CFW, HFW or HEN: CFW, HFW & HEN.
• Something broken you cannot diagnose: Help & troubleshooting.
• Chat: General discussion.
Starter knowledge
• webMAN MOD adds a lot of handy features, including fan control and a web interface you can open from a browser on your network.
• Fan control can make a real difference to temperatures on older consoles. Do not set it so low that the console runs hot.
• Install one thing at a time, and back up your saves before trying save tools or cheats.
• The internal drive can be replaced with a larger one or an SSD. Back up first, as the new drive is formatted by the console.
Sharing a release or build
Include what it does, screenshots or photos, tested models and firmware, install steps and credit for any code, art or guides you used. Link to the original author's release rather than re-uploading their work.
Hardware safety
Unplug before opening, keep the power supply alone unless you know what you are doing, use anti-static precautions and keep track of screws. Be careful with heat guns: heat-based fixes for fat models are often temporary.
What is not allowed
No ISOs, PKGs of paid games, licence files, keys or links to where to find them. No cheats for online play, no malware and no selling or paid services.
House rules
The usual KZE rules apply: be kind, English only (other languages are translated automatically), no spam, no keyboard mashing and no self-promotion spam. Report anything that breaks the rules. This thread is locked, so please start your own.
