• Casual chat and setup photos go in General discussion
How to write a good guide
1. Put the device and topic in the title, for example Retroid Pocket 5: Dolphin settings for GameCube.
2. List the device model, Android or firmware version, and the exact frontend and emulator versions you used.
3. Explain the steps in order, one action per line.
4. Say what the settings do, not just what to tick. It helps people adapt them.
5. Note anything that's per-game, and anything that might change with updates.
6. Come back and update your guide if things change, or post a reply noting what's out of date.
Useful basics
• Get one system working well before setting up everything at once.
• Many emulators need BIOS or firmware files. Dump them from your own consoles; we can explain how, but we won't share or link them.
• Keep your games, BIOS files and saves in a clear folder structure on the SD card, and back it up regularly.
• Most emulators let you save per-game settings. Use them instead of making global changes for one tricky game.
• Higher internal resolution looks nicer but costs performance and battery. Start at native and work up.
• Save states are handy, but in-game saves are safer across emulator updates.
Legal and safety
No ROMs, ISOs, BIOS files, firmware dumps, keys, cracked or modified APKs, or where to find them. Guides must assume people are using their own dumps. No links to pre-loaded packs or full sets. No malware, and no selling or paid services.
House rules
Be kind, write in English (other languages are translated automatically), no spam, no keyboard mashing and no self-promotion spam. Report anything that breaks the rules. This thread is locked, so share your guide or question in a new thread.
