Before you tweak
1. Create a restore point, and for bigger changes, a full backup.
2. Change one thing at a time so you know what caused a problem.
3. Write down what you changed so you can undo it.
Debloating cautions
• Some 'debloat' scripts remove far more than apps. Breaking the Microsoft Store, Windows Update, Defender or system components can cause problems that are hard to fix later.
• Read any script before you run it. If you cannot tell what it does, do not run it as administrator.
• Only use tools from their official source. Fake tweak tools are a common way to spread malware.
• Disabling Windows Update or Defender permanently leaves you exposed. If you replace Defender, replace it with something reputable.
• Registry edits can do real damage. Export the key before changing it.
• Many 'speed up your PC' cleaners and registry cleaners do little good and some do harm.
• Big feature updates can undo some tweaks. That is normal.
Avoid modified ISOs
Pre-debloated Windows images from unknown sources may contain malware and are often unlicensed. Start from Microsoft's own media and tweak it yourself.
Rules
• No activation cracks, KMS activators, activation scripts or shared keys.
• No cracked tweak tools or paid utilities shared for free.
• No malware and no paid services.
