What belongs here
• "What are you playing?" threads, impressions and your own reviews.
• Recommendations, including "games like X" requests and hidden gems.
• Nintendo news: Directs, system updates, Nintendo Switch Online additions and announcements.
• Physical collecting, special editions and boxed releases.
• Local multiplayer, co-op and online play, and finding people to play with.
What doesn't belong here
• Custom firmware, homebrew, emulators and mods go in Homebrew & modding.
• If a game won't start, crashes or won't download, ask in Help & troubleshooting.
• Hardware and accessory chat goes in General discussion.
• Anything about how games run on Switch 2, or Switch 2 news, goes in the Switch 2 forum.
Posting news
• Put the key fact in the title, and say where it came from in the post. We don't allow links, so name the source clearly.
• Summarise in your own words rather than pasting whole articles.
• Mark rumours and leaks with "Rumour:" at the start of the title. Never share leaked files or builds.
• One thread per big event, please. Check for an existing Direct thread before starting another.
Writing a helpful review
• What the game is and how long you played.
• What works and what doesn't: performance in handheld and docked, controls, length, value.
• Who you'd recommend it to.
Write it yourself, and keep spoilers out of titles with a warning at the top of your post.
A few tips for newcomers
• The Switch library is enormous, and the eShop has a lot of low-effort releases mixed in with real gems. Asking here before buying is never a silly question.
• Physical games keep their value and can be lent or resold. Digital games are tied to your Nintendo Account.
• Some games have demos on the eShop. Worth checking before you commit.
• Many original Switch games also play on Switch 2, which may matter if you're thinking of upgrading.
Prices and deals
Prices and sales change constantly, so we don't keep price lists. Mentioning a deal is fine, but say where and when you saw it. No selling games, codes or accounts here.
What we won't allow
No ROMs, game files, keys, cracked copies or where to find them. No "is there a free way to get this?" questions. Support the developers whose games you enjoy.
