How to ask so people can help
1. Model: original, Slim or Pro, and the CUH model number if you can find it.
2. System software version.
3. What happens, including the exact error code and message.
4. When it started and whether anything changed: an update, a new drive, a move or a power cut.
5. What you have already tried.
A clear title helps: "PS4 Pro blue light after drive swap" gets better answers than "PS4 dead".
Quick things to try first
• Do a full shutdown, unplug for a minute and start again.
• Try a different HDMI cable, port and power socket.
• Safe mode is reached by holding the power button from off until the second beep. It has options such as rebuilding the database. Some options erase data, so read each one carefully.
• Connect the controller with a USB cable that carries data, not just power.
• For network problems, try a wired connection.
