Welcome to Minecraft General discussion.
This is the catch-all board for chatting about Minecraft: update news, your favourite version, setups and controllers, seeds worth exploring, YouTube series you enjoy, mob votes, nostalgia and what you are working on this week. If it is about Minecraft and does not obviously fit one of the other subforums, it belongs here.
What belongs here
• Discussion of official updates, snapshots, previews and betas.
• Java versus Bedrock chat, platform comparisons and controller or keyboard setups.
• Seeds (say the edition and version, as seeds can generate differently between them).
• Survival stories, hardcore deaths and general questions about how the game works.
What goes elsewhere
• Advertising a server or looking for people to play with: Servers & Realms.
• Showing off a build: Builds & screenshots.
• Mods, shaders and texture packs: Mods, modpacks & resource packs.
• Farms and machines: Redstone & technical.
• Something broken or crashing: Help & troubleshooting.
Good to know
Snapshots (Java) and Previews or Betas (Bedrock) let you try upcoming features early, but they can be unstable and features may change before release. Always test them on a copy of your world, never your main save. When talking about upcoming features, say where you saw the news so others can check it.
Rules for this board
• No piracy: no cracked launchers, free account generators or shared accounts.
• No hacked clients or griefing talk.
• No buying, selling or trading accounts, capes or in-game items.
• Keep personal details to yourself, and do not ask others for theirs.
The usual bits
The general house rules apply: be kind, English only (posts in other languages are translated automatically), no spam, no keyboard mashing and no self-promotion spam. Use Report on anything that breaks the rules. This thread is locked, so start your own thread here to get chatting.
