This board covers everything that changes how Minecraft looks or plays: mods, modpacks, shader packs, resource and texture packs, and data packs. Recommendations, showcases, compatibility questions and your own creations are all welcome.
A quick primer
• Mod loaders: most Java mods need a loader. Fabric is lightweight and quick to update; NeoForge is a community continuation of Forge and hosts many large content mods. Mods made for one loader usually will not work on the other, and they must match your exact game version.
• Shader packs need a shader loader such as Iris or OptiFine, and they need a reasonably capable graphics card. If your game crawls, try a lighter pack or lower the settings.
• Resource packs change textures, sounds and models and do not need a loader.
• Bedrock uses add-ons and Marketplace content rather than Java mods.

Rules for this board
• Point people to the creator's official page or a reputable mod site by name. No re-uploads of other people's mods.
• No hacked clients, x-ray for multiplayer cheating, duping tools or anything that gives an unfair edge on other people's servers.
• No cracked launchers or paid content shared for free.
• Do not sell mods, packs or commissions here.
• Back up your world before adding or removing mods. Removing a mod can delete its blocks and items from your world.
