Welcome to PC gaming. This board is for everything about gaming on a PC: Steam, GOG, Epic and other launchers, new releases, graphics settings, performance tweaking, controllers, keyboards and mice, and simply what you are playing this week. Whether you are on a big gaming rig, a laptop or a modest older machine, you are welcome. What belongs here • Discussion and impressions of PC games, new and old. • Settings and performance help for a specific game. • Launchers, libraries, wishlists and backlogs. • Peripherals, controllers and setups. • Building or upgrading a gaming PC. What goes elsewhere • Minecraft has its own forum with subforums: Minecraft. • Free giveaways and sales: Free games & deals. • Small indie gems: Indie & homebrew games. • Finding people to play with: Looking for group. • Non-gaming tech questions: Tech help desk in the Lounge. Getting better performance • Keep your graphics drivers up to date from your GPU maker. • Upscalers such as DLSS, FSR and XeSS can give a big boost if your card supports them. • Lower shadows, volumetrics and draw distance first; they are often the heaviest settings. • Check the game's minimum and recommended requirements before buying. • When asking for help, list your CPU, GPU, RAM, storage type and operating system. Rules for this board • No piracy: no cracks, repacks, keygens, torrents or links to sites that host them. • No cheats, aimbots or anything that ruins online games for others. • No grey-market key resellers or referral links. Buy from official stores. • No selling games, accounts or services. • No promoting gambling, skin betting or case-opening sites. • Single-player mods are welcome as long as they come from legitimate sources. A word on refunds Most stores have a refund policy, but the rules differ between them and can change. Read the store's current policy before you buy something you are unsure about. The house rules The general rules apply: be kind, English only (other languages are translated automatically), no spam, no keyboard mashing and no self-promotion spam. If you spot something that breaks the rules, use Report. This thread is locked, so start your own thread to join in. Dexter
