Welcome to PSP Help & troubleshooting. Stuck with a PSP that will not boot, a game that crashes, a plugin that misbehaves or a memory card that is not recognised? Ask here and someone will help you out.
What belongs here
• Boot problems, crashes and error codes.
• Custom firmware that will not launch or keeps disappearing.
• Memory card, charging and Wi-Fi problems.
• "Is this hardware or software?" questions.
What goes elsewhere
• Chat and recommendations: General discussion.
• Release threads and bug reports for a specific homebrew: Homebrew & plugins, on that release's thread.
• Repair logs and build threads: Hardware mods & repairs.
• PSP Tube problems go in the PSP Tube forums under KZE apps & projects, where its developers can see them.
How to ask so people can help
Please copy this into your thread and fill it in:
1. Model: the exact number on the label under the battery, for example PSP-2004 or PSP-N1004.
2. Firmware: official version and any custom firmware with its version.
3. What you were doing when the problem started.
4. What happens now, including any error code or message, word for word.
5. What you have already tried.
6. Plugins you have enabled, if any.
A clear title helps too. "PSP-3000 on ARK-4 freezes when launching homebrew" gets better answers than "help please".
Quick things to try first
• Hold the power switch up for a while to fully power off, then start again.
• Disable all plugins, using the recovery menu if you need to, and test again.
• Try a different memory card or reformat a spare one in the PSP.
• If the PSP will not charge, try another charger and check whether the battery is swollen.
Be patient and say thanks
Everyone here is a volunteer. If you solve the problem, post what fixed it so the next person can find it, and mark the thread as solved if you can.
No piracy
We will not help with getting pirated games working, and posts asking for ISOs, ROMs or firmware files from unofficial sources will be removed.
House rules
Be kind, English only (other languages are translated automatically), no spam, no keyboard mashing and no self-promotion spam. Please Report rule-breaking posts instead of replying to them. This thread is locked, so start a new thread with your question.
