Welcome to Switch 2 General discussion. This is the relaxed, catch-all board for Nintendo's newest console: your setup, your first impressions, how it compares to the original Switch, and the bits of everyday life with it that don't fit anywhere else.
What belongs here
• First impressions, long-term thoughts and "how is everyone finding it" threads.
• Setups: docks, stands, TV and monitor pairings, travel kits and carry cases.
• Accessories: controllers, screen protectors, grips, headsets and storage.
• Storage chat, including microSD Express cards and how people manage space.
• Comparisons with the original Switch, Switch Lite and Switch OLED.
• Polls, friendly debates and general Nintendo chat that centres on Switch 2.
What doesn't belong here
• Directs, updates, announcements and leaks go in News & rumours.
• Talking about a specific game, recommendations and reviews go in Games & reviews.
• If something is broken or not working, Help & troubleshooting is the place. You'll get faster, more focused answers there.
• Original Switch topics, including homebrew on that console, go in the Switch forum.
Good habits
• Use a title that says what you want to talk about. "Is the Pro Controller 2 worth it over the original?" beats "Thoughts?"
• When you share a setup, photos are welcome. Please crop out anything personal, such as addresses on boxes or your friend code if you'd rather keep it private.
• Recommending an accessory is fine. Posting affiliate links or repeatedly pushing your own shop or channel is not.
• Disagreeing is fine; being unpleasant about it isn't. People enjoy their consoles differently.
Handy to know
• Ordinary microSD cards aren't supported for Switch 2 games; you need microSD Express. Check the packaging before you buy.
• Third-party docks and chargers vary a lot in quality. Stick to well-reviewed ones, and if a dock behaves strangely, try the official one before assuming the console is faulty.
• Most original Switch accessories still work in some way, but not all of them work identically, so ask before buying something specially.
A note on modding
There's no Switch 2 homebrew board yet. Please don't post or request exploits, modchips, firmware files, keys or anything to do with running copied games. Modifying your console risks bans and loss of online access, and KZE never helps with piracy.
